I saw them perform this in Kansas City when they were touring. The guitar player you see in-between them is T-Bone Burnett. He produced the album and the tour. Alison looked like a fine porcelain doll, beautiful.
Alison is lovely, in spirit, in form. I love the craggy Rbt. Plant. Love the way he puts his heel up on the speaker and sets the tone…more and more artists are mixing genres and showing such extraordinary talent combos– country and old hard rock…what’s next? Heavy metal with the Vienna Boys Choir– okay…I think that was done by lead for Yes a couple of years ago with an orchestra of musical prodigies on the stage… T-Bone Burnett is incredible, his guitar is the root of all that is good in riffs and rhythm. Glad you enjoyed. I did, too…kept it playing over and over a few times…sublime.
It started as a proposition for a duet, and it turned into a project. I have a fantastic dvd that features interviews and duets with Alison and various other artists, including Robert Plant, James Taylor, and John Waite. In it, she explains how the Plant pairing came to be. The dvd is called “A Hundred Miles Or More” and is well worth the $9 or so it will set you back. 🙂

Thank you for the dig! Appreciate you! Will look.
Alison and Robert are amazing together. A more unlikely duo is hard to imagine but it works so well!
I haven’t done my research on this…who had the idea to put the two together? did they just find eachother? some friend of a friend? planned by label/producer? Now I’m very curious.
Despite the camera usually focused on Plant, Alison always has my attention. But no doubt, together they are great.
Well, we all see what we want to see, don’t we…
It is amazing how different the song is unplugged and with a slow tempo. If anything it’s hotter than the original 🙂
Agree Ms. Moss… Hhhhot.
Thanks for the intro!
Also, one word “boots!”
I have introduced the diverse and worldly dievca to something! I’m so honoured!. And yes, BOOTs. ON both of them! grin.
